Tom Tucker .

Tom's family moved to Buford in 1958 to operate the Buford Store and Lodge. Tom shot his first elk at the age of 14, after shooting it he then jumped on the school bus.

Tom is a second generation hunting guide and has been hunting elk in the Buford area for the last 50 years.
Tom is also able to hunt in many other parts of the country for Mountain Goat, Big Horn Sheep, and Pronghorn. Tom is also a avid fishermen who has been fishing the White River and the Flat Tops for the last 50 years.

Tom's sons Steve and Mark are an intricate part of the guide service, as they have also "grown up" with the business, and the love of hunting is in their blood. After following Tom around the woods ever since they could walk, they know the territory and also have a keen feel for the movement and behavior of both elk and deer. All of us spend time a lot of time in these mountains - not just during hunting season - but throughout the year. This is what makes Buford Guide Service unique!
